My start in insurance began in 1995, working part time for an independent local agency.

I began with State Farm, with this office in 2003. Obtaining my licenses in Property/Casualty and Life/Health. During my almost 22 years, I have worked with great State Farm agents. An opportunity opened and I was able to return home.

I’m a quilter, sewer, and love to work on different crafts when away from the office. I have two amazing sons & 2 bonus daughters that I am super proud of! I am officially a grandmother of one amazing little guy. A great partner and two wonderful doxies complete our family.

I truly believe in “Like a Good Neighbor” and look forward to assisting you in our local communities.

I decided in November of 2023 it was time for a new start in a career. I recently got married and had my first child, so I kindly asked Joe to take a leap of faith and allow me on board. I studied hard and received my license in Property and Casualty for MI and IN. I am excited to meet new and current customers. Outside of the office I am a volunteer firefighter, barrel racer and enjoy tractor pulling. I also enjoy farming with my husband. If you want a family like atmosphere, come in and join our office.

I’ve been on the insurance train since 1969, most of it in the claims discipline.  I started in Chicago with several smaller companies; then transferred to a larger, Merrillville, Indiana company.  The next stop was professionally bartending for one year and then I stopped at State Farm Claims in Michigan City, Indiana as a superintendent secretary.  Stayed at the State Farm station for 18 years and then traveled onto AAA of Michigan for 5 years.  Continuing on, I visited Indiana Insurance and finally ended up at Nationwide for 15 years.   Retirement looked pretty good so I thought that would be the last stop but…..no way…..since I don’t paint, wallpaper or remodel, I asked Mr. Jilek if he needed help and he kindly took me on in 2014 and it was the greatest move ever!  I am an old person having seen a real live Beatle concert in 1965; love gardening, reading, raising chickens and making my family crazy.  This is the greatest office ever and the greatest team anyone can find.  Check us out and you won’t be disappointed. ~
